Welcome
The Sunrise Youth Bureau works with young people under the age of 18 who have come in contact with the law or are experiencing personal, family, or school problems. Youth come to the attention of the Sunrise Youth Bureau through referrals from Juvenile Court, a school official, crisis intervention, or through referrals from parents or other agencies.
The Sunrise Youth Bureau staff meet with youth and their parents in order to determine what services and/or accountabilities are needed. This can include counseling, community service, written essays, letter of apology, curfew, restitution, classes and/or referral to another agency.
The Sunrise Youth Bureau serves youth and families in the following counties:
Adams, Dunn, Billings, Bowman, Hettinger, Slope, Golden Valley, Stark, Mercer, Grant, Morton, and McKenzie
